FIGURES EXHIBITION

Figures Exhibition- Disrupting Societal Ideas of the Human Form is an online group exhibition set up between myself and two fellow students during the Coronavirus pandemic. We were exploring how an audience will be interacting with our work during this period of time, online exhibitions during the pandemic were highly popular and allowed art to become much more accessible to many more people.

Our exhibition looked at depicting the human form and how we can disrupt the body, the distortion and disruption of the body being the key aspect of our practices. We were interested in whether a group show would help or hinder our practices, we were looking at how multiple artists driving the same ideas and contexts can push them further.

The exhibition consisted of many of our works from all three of us involved in this exhibition, my works involved a multitude self-portraits using many different mediums such as charcoal, ink, pencil and paint for example.
